Round-Up Beef
*2 lbs Round, cut in thin
slices
*1/2 c + 2 Tbs Ketchup
*1/4 c Flour *1/4 c Brown sugar *1 Tbs Oil *1/4 c Red wine vinegar *1 c Water *1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce Coat Beef with flour and salt & pepper (to taste). Brown in oil in large pan. Combine water, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce into a medium saucepan. Stir well, heat and pour over beef. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook, covered, until beef is tender (1/2hr-1hr). Stir occasionally. Serve over rice or noodles. This is an excellent dish. Very easy to make and quite filling. I've never met anyone who didn't like it. The secret is the amazing sauce. Serves 4. |
